2011 Summer Training and Partner Camps
Crossfire Programs

Volleyball Training
Crossfire will be offering a variety of training options this summer including:


Introductory and Intermediate Elementary and Middle School
Small group training
Two classes per week, three weeks per session
Times:
- Middle School: (entering grades 7-8): Tue/Thur, 1:30-2:20
- Elementary School: (entering grades 3-6) Tue/Thur, 2:30-3:20
- Elementary School: (entering grades 3-6) Tue/Thur, 3:30-4:20
- Middle School: (entering grade 7-8): Tue/Thur, 4:30-5:20
Sessions:
- June 14-30
- July 12-28
- August 2-18
Coaches: Lisa Halvorsen and Justine White
Fee: $75

High School Position Training
Small group training, 2-6 players per session
Two classes per week, four weeks per session
Times:
- Setters, Basic: Tue/Thur, 5:30-6:20
- Setters, Intermediate: Tue/Thur, 6:30-7:20
- Setters, Advanced: Tue/Thur, 7:30-8:20
- Defensive Specialists, Intermediate & Advanced: Tue/Thur, 8:30-9:20
- Attacking, Basic: Tue/Thur, 5:30-6:20
- Attacking, Intermediate: Tue/Thur, 6:30-7:20
- Middle Blocker, Advanced: Tue/Thur, 7:30-8:20
- Outside Hitter, Advanced: Tue/Thur, 8:30-9:20
Levels:
- Basic - entering grades 9-12 with sub-JV experience
- Intermediate - entering grades 10-12 with high school JV (equivalent) and/or 2+ years of top level JO experience
- Advanced - entering grades 11-12 with high school Varsity and top level JO experience
Sessions:
- June 14 - July 14
- July 19 - August 11

Strength and Agility
Crossfire is partnering with The Edge to provide a special rate for summer/fall strength and agility training for current Crossfire athletes.  If you participated on a Crossfire team during the 2010-11 season, you are eligible.  Training includes two 1-hour strength/agility sessions per week mid-May through mid-August and one 1-hour strength/agility session mid-August through November.  Sessions are available 6-7 days per week.  Participants will be able to register for sessions as little as 24 hours ahead of time.  The fee for the entire off-season program is $450.  Click here to register.

Crossfire is happy to support our partners by advertising their camps here.  Crossfire is NOT involved in running these camps.  Please contact the sponsoring organization directly with any questions.

Heritage Christian Academy
Taking place on July 11-14 at Heritage Christian Academy in Maple Grove, this summer volleyball camp has sessions for girls in 1st to 12th grades and boys in 1st to 6th grade.  An exceptional value at between $50 and $100 to attend.  Click here for registration and more information.

Bethel University
Bethel University is offering two summer volleyball camps in 2011.  The Advanced Skills Camp for 9th to 12th grade takes place on July 25-28.  This camp will likely be full by the early-April, so register now if you plan to attend.  On August 1-2 will be the Day Camp for 6th to 8th graders.  Click here for registration and general information about the camps.

FCA Summer Camps
If you want an athlete you know who is going into 3rd to 12th grade to have a life transforming experience with Jesus and learn to live out their faith in their sport and life, then introduce them to FCA Camp.  Better yet, do whatever it takes to get them there. There are camps for junior and senior high school athletes as well as many local youth sports camps for youth athletes.
